Basic course (2 days)
is intended for all nature lovers who want to learn more about survival skills and try different techniques but do not want psycho-physical tests. It is somewhat similar in content to the 3-day challenge course, but less detailed and difficult. Food and slightly more comfortable sleeping are provided on the course.
The foundation course is not physically demanding. It is intended for adults, but is also suitable for children from 8 years old when accompanied by a responsible person.
Course topics
- finding wild food and preparing it,
- basics of orientation,
- the basics of bivouac construction,
- making fire in primitive ways,
- getting to know the tracks and biology of wild animals,
- production of accessories from natural materials,
- safe use of tools,
- identification of edible and useful plants,
- learning basic knots,
- psychological and physical impact on people in a survival situation
The topics are adjusted according to the conditions in the forest and according to the wishes of the participants.
Equipment for participants
- suitable clothing and footwear,
- backpack,
- knife*,
- water (3 L),
- Sleeping Bag,
- sleeping mat,
- identity document and health card.
* If you don’t have a knife, don’t be forced to buy one before the course. We lend it to you for free, and after the course you will have much more knowledge to make a smart purchase.

Due to the limited availability of instructors in 2024, we do not have any fixed dates for the English (or German) language courses. However, we can organise a special course tailored to your group on request. For individuals, more courses will be held in 2025, but we are already collecting interest, so feel free to contact us.
